SportFit is a private, non-commercial website: one person's sports log, with one page open to anyone: Explore, sports places in Munich. It carries no advertising and sells nothing. It is not affiliated with EGYM Wellpass or Urban Sports Club.

Privacy

The person named above is responsible for this website. It runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, which processes the data on their behalf.

What the server records

  • Requests. The proxy in front of the site logs each request: your IP address, the time, the address asked for and the answer's status — not your browser's identification, nor the page you came from. It is needed to run the site and keep it safe (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after five weeks.
  • Opening Explore. The site counts each opening of the page, whether it came from a link made with the page's Share button, and the kind of device and browser ("phone, Safari 18"). If the page fails to work (its map does not start, an error), it reports that, with the error's message. Nothing that tells people apart is kept: no IP address, no identifier, no cookie. These counts are kept for 180 days (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: knowing whether the page works and how far it is passed on).

What is kept on your device

  • Your settings and saved places on Explore (memberships, activities, the places you bookmark, that you have seen the first sheet), once you change, save or close something, so the page opens as you left it. Only the values, nothing that identifies you; they stay in your browser and are never sent.
  • The map's data already loaded, in the browser's cache, so it is not downloaded twice.
  • Signing in (for the site's owner only) sets a session cookie.

You can delete all of these in your browser's settings at any time.

Other services

  • Weather comes from Open-Meteo, asked by this server: nothing about you is sent to them.
  • The simple map. Where your browser cannot draw SportFit's own map, a simpler one loads its pictures from OpenStreetMap's tile servers (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom; covered by the EU's adequacy decision), which then receive your IP address.
  • Links to a studio's website, to Wellpass, Urban Sports Club, Apple Maps or Google Maps take you to those sites only when you follow them; their own privacy notices apply there.

Your rights

You can ask what is stored about you, and have it corrected, deleted or restricted (Art. 15–18 GDPR), and object to its processing (Art. 21). Write to the address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Bavaria the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
